Twas the Season After Santa

‘Twas the season after Santa…
when Christmas began to feel different than it once did.
Quieter. Slower.
And somehow—still full.

There were no wish lists written in crayon,
no toys waiting to be assembled before morning,
no one tiptoeing down the hallway to catch a glimpse of the magic.

Instead, there were grown children coming home—
sometimes late, sometimes loud, sometimes not all at once.
There were stories retold, inside jokes that never get old,
and that familiar feeling of everyone being under one roof again…
even if just for a moment.

This season can feel tender when the kids are grown.
The traditions you once held so tightly feel past due,
and the memories—sweet as they are—can make your heart ache a little.

But here’s the truth that often goes unspoken:
the magic didn’t leave. It just changed its shape.

Now it looks like conversations that last longer than dinner.
Like staying up later than you planned.
Like realizing the love you built did exactly what it was meant to do—
it brought them back.

So if your house is quieter this Christmas,
let that be a sign of a season well lived—not one that’s missing.

The magic is still here.
It’s just grown up too.

Merry Christmas—from one full-hearted season to another.
Thank you for being here with us.
